Tight and square with flat spine, and no stamps or writing. There is a faint 1" stain trace at the bottom corner of pages next to spine, and an even fainter trace on top page block which reads as tan on orange and stays in top 1/8" of margin. 1/4" scrape at lower left of front cover; 1/2" scrape at bottom right of back cover; moderate overall wear. Consider this a "reading copy" of a 50-year-old book, rather than a collector's copy.

British versions of this book were titled The Time Factor in 1964, 1965. "Rex Gordon" is a pseudonym of Stanley Bennett Hough (who has also written as "S. B. Hough.")

The synchrotron took accurate photos of the future: what they showed was disaster, for both the girl who ran the machine - and for the world. Major Judgen had trained as an astronaut. He was called on to try a flight across time, to determine (a) what caused the end of the world, and (b) what could be done to prevent it.
