Omnibus of 2 books featuring "Sookie Stackhouse": Dead To the World (2004) + Dead as a Doornail (2005) / The television series TRUE BLOOD is based on this series, with Season 1 corresponding to the first book - with some events or characters borrowed from later books. These were paperback originals, and this is the first hardcover edition for these titles. (They were later reprinted separately in hardcover, but those tend to be expensive and hard to find.)

In Dead to the World, Sookie starts the New Year off with a bang by finding Bill's "boss," vampire Eric, running half-naked through the woods.
