Book is tight and almost square; light overall wear; left side of front cover shows some blue "dots" where another book had been pressed too tight and this book took away ink from the other when separated. The last 10 pages show a faint stain-trace in top margin next to spine - largest extant is 1/2" by 1-1/4" (never touching text.)

Brak the Barbarian (1968) - Brak, the yellow-haired warrior, pushes his way South on a journey through strange kingdoms threatened by dark perils and foul sorcery. His goal was golden Khurdisan, the city of his dreams. Among the evils that block his path: the loathsome Septegundus, whose writhing skin displays the souls he holds in perpetual torment; the Darter gang, street urchins who fire paralyzing silver sparks from their fingertips; beautiful Ariane, the wicked and lustful daughter of darkness; and the dreaded Lord of Evil himself, Yob-Haggoth.

This is either an episodic novel or a collection of related novelets: 2 of which had appeared in Fantastic March & April 1965 (with different titles.)
