Light overall wear, 1/8" or less spine-tilt. Bookstore stamps on inside cover, first page; faint writing/scribble trace in upper middle of cover (above "an" in title.) Back cover was dirty and cleaned up nicely, but the whitish areas at lower left and middle right are ink-transfer from another book which had been stored too close too long (the ink-to-ink bond is strong, and I don't know how to remove just the top layer without possibly removing the ink that is supposed to be there.)

Seed of Destruction
Frozen Beauty
Reflections in a Tablespoon
The Crewel Needle
The Sympathetic Souse
The Queen of Pig Island - (also known as: "Mistress of Porcosito")
Prophet Without Honor
The Beggars' Stone
The Brighton Monster - (original title: "The Monster")
The Extraordinarily Horrible Dummy
Fantasy of a Hunted Man
The Gentleman All in Black
The Eye - (original title: "The Murderer's Eye")

"Prophet Without Honor" appears to be original to this 1958 collection. Original appearances from 1941 to 1958 - in Esquire, John Bull (3), Lilliput (2), Playboy, John O'London's Weekly, Saturday Evening Post (2), Neither Man Nor Dog, Penguin Parade #6. Some of the sources quoted on the credits page are more recent than their first collected appearance - so that may be referring to the source of the text used for this volume.

Most of these stories have been collected in earlier Kersh collections in Britain, but most readers of SF/Fantasy would not have encountered them. 3 stories were first collected in this - the first of several samplers or "best-of" Kersh volumes for American readers.
