2" non-yellowing library tape reinforcing spine. Tight & almost square; age tanning is very mild and uniform (much less than average for this age.) Light overall wear including faint 3" vertical line at bottom right (tends to get lost in artwork - may not show in scan.) Bookstore stamp on first page, 2 asterisks marked on contents page in pen - no other marks or writing.

I would recommend this (1966) second printing over the first printing from 1953 - it would be very hard to find one of those in good shape with minimal aging.

Henry Kuttner's Ahead of Time - collection of SF stories. Henry Kuttner is one of the most able and versatile writers of short fiction. In my opinion, these have lasting power and are still readable even after 50 years - unlike much early SF.

Originally appeared in Thrilling Wonder Stories, Amazing, Astounding, Galaxy, Fantastic and Science Fiction Quarterly - from 1942 to 1953. "Year Day" is original to this collection. For all of these - this is their first appearance in a Kuttner collection, and most have not appeared in any other Kuttner collection. 3 originally appeared as by "Lewis Padgett" - which was a common name for stories in collaboration with his wife C. L. Moore.
