Translation by Michael Kandel of: Doskonata Próznia (1971-Polish.)

A collection by Stanislaw Lem: A Perfect Vacuum. English translation by Michael Kandel. Subtitled "Perfect Reviews of Nonexistant Books" - I'll quote from the flap copy to give some idea of what this is or is about.

[from the inside flap]:
Exercising his satiric wit and sophisticated knowledge, Lem invents books through reviews, spoofing various literary trends and styles. These reviews of nonexistant books point up the absurdities of our alarming civilization, with its fads and escalating silliness. There is U-WRITE-IT, a literary erector set; SEXPLOSION, in which 3 giant corporations, General Sexotics, Cybordelics, and Intercourse International, meet ruin, with disasterous effects on the economy; "The New Cosmogony," purporting to be the address of a Nobel Prize winner - a waterfall of pseudo-erudition.
