All 5 novelets originally appeared in Galaxy - from 1956 to 1960. 3 can be found in other Pohl collections, but 2 can only be found here or in the British Frederik Pohl Omnibus (which included the whole book.) Of all of Pohl's collections, I liked this best - and recommend it as an introduction to why you should read more Fred Pohl.
