Tight and almost square, with faint line next to spine (1/2" away); back cover has a couple of faint finger-creases, and a 4" diagonal fold-trace at bottom left (see Scan #2.) No stamps, marks or writing; insides of covers show age-darkening.

Avalon hardcover was in 1957; the first paperback appearance was as half of an Ace Double in 1957. This 1962 reprint is the first "single" paperback.
