Lancer 1966 paperback (72-127). (Copyright 1965 in Britain.) Cover by Gray Morrow, 158 pages, 50 cent cover price. Condition is Fine (-): tight and square with flat spine; bare trace of wear mainly as what may be a couple of finger-creases (but faint.) Age tanning is very mild and uniform - much better than you expect for this vintage. No stamps, marks or writing.

This is the 3rd in the "Michael Kane" series of Burroughs pastiches. The Yaksha were once rulers of all Mars. The vaults of the vanished Yaksha were crowded with their marvelous machines, though none live who knew their secrets. To these vaults came Michael Kane, seeking the cure for the Green Death…

Sixties editions (British and American) of this series appeared as by "Edward P. Bradbury." In the early Seventies, re-titled reprints appeared with Moorcock's name. This was re-titled The Masters of the Pit.
