Tight and square, spine is flat but slightly dished; light rubbing to front cover; back cover is similar with some light wear to left side. Age tanning is mild to moderate and uniform; no stamps, marks or writing.

The Final Programme - the first "Jerry Cornelius" book by Michael Moorcock. This is a "fix-up" based on 3 pieces that appeared in New Worlds 1965-1966. The book is layed out as a prologue, then 4 "Phases" and finishes with an epilog - but if you try to compare text based on the titles of the original pieces, you will become rather confused (explanation below.)

The prolog "preliminary data" is new to the book. The first 2 chapters of "Phase 1" (with noticable revisions) correspond to "Preliminary Data" - from New Worlds #153 (August 1965.) Chapters 3 and 4 of "Phase 1" (also with noticable revisions) correspond to "Further Information" from New Worlds #157 (December 1965.) The first part of "Phase 2" (Chapter 6) is new to the book. Chapters 7 and 8 from "Phase 2" correspond to "Phase Three" from New Worlds #160 (March 1966 - with only minor revisions.) Original to the book are all of "Phase 3", "Phase 4" and "terminal data."
