Condition is Fine: very tight and very square with flat spine; barest trace of overall wear; age tanning is mild and uniform (excellent for age and quality of paper - slightly darker on insides of covers.) Edges still have some of that "new-book" crispness. No stamps, marks or writing - a very clean copy that looks unread.

Ace Double F-253 (1964): containing One of Our Asteroids is Missing by "Calvin M. Knox" (pseudonym of Robert Silverberg), bound with The Twisted Men by A. E. Van Vogt. This is the first appearance for either book.

Robert Silverberg's One of Our Asteroids is Missing (cover by Ed Emshwiller, 124 pages) appears to be wholly original, with no previous magazine source. After almost 2 years of nothing, asteroid prospector John Storm thought he was going to be a millionaire - he'd found an 8 mile rock full of marketable ore. Once on Mars, he filed his claim. But when he presented his claim on Earth, they said they had no record of his claim - or of him! Storm figured the Universal Mining Cartel thought there was something on that rock worth a great deal more than the reactive ores he'd discovered, and he wasn't about to be cheated out of it.
