Tight and square with flat spine. Age tanning is light and uniform. No stamps, marks or writing. This looks unread, but there is a 1/4" hole punched in upper right corner of front cover, and a 1" line/fold-trace at bottom left corner of back cover (see scans.) | |||
John Varley's third collection of short stories: Blue Champagne (1986.) After making a big splash in the late Seventies with his short fiction, Varley continued to produce high quality short fiction in addition to his novels. "The Pusher" and "Press Enter []" both won Hugo Awards; "Blue Champagne" made the final ballot in 1982 (I voted for it to win.) Some of these stories are part of his "Eight Worlds" series. Strongly recommended. The Pusher Novella "Tango Charlie and Foxtrot Romeo" is original to the 1986 Dark Harvest hardcover. The rest are from 1981 to 1985, originally appearing in Magazine of F&SF, New Voices 4, Universe 9, Orbit 19, Westercon 37 Program Book, Isaac Asimov's. |
