The collected "Troons of Space" stories - including the last one which was added to the 1959 British SFBC edition, and all later British editions. American editions reprint from the orignal 1959 edition - so to have the last story, you need to have a British printing 1961 or later (or track down the original appearance of the story in magazine format.) These tales follow members of the "Troon" family as man spreads throughout the Solar System.

The first 4 stories originally appeared in New Worlds in 1958 (and were reprinted in Fantastic 1958-59.) The final story appeared in New Worlds in 1960 (and was reprinted in Amazing in 1961.)

Note the "authors" of this book: both are parts of John Harris' full name. His full name was John Wyndham Parkes Lucas Beynon Harris. Before WWII, he wrote as "John Beynon" or "John Beynon Harris" and was considered an able peer of Edmond Hamilton, Jack Williamson, and other writers of space operas. After WWII, he started writing different sorts of tales and thoughtful disaster novels like The Day of the Triffids, published as "John Wyndham". (Who knows why it seemed necessary to have a co-author...?)
