THE BEST OF LUCIUS SHEPARD
(Tall) Hardcover, Ex-Library
J. K. Potter
Size is 2" thick by 6-1/4" by 9-1/4"; Ex-library traces are minimal: a sticker on pre-title page, a "discard" stamp and a 2" square rough area on back end-papers where a sticker or pocket was removed. No (other) stamps, marks or writing. Book is tight and square. Since the DJ protecter has very litle wear, I've left it in place - it is a high-quality protector that wholly encloses the DJ without actually being attached.
A massive retrospective by an author who is famous for his short fiction - The Best of Lucius Shepard (2008.) Most of these have appeared in previous Shepard collections, but there are 3 pieces first collected here. If you have not already invested in hardcovers of those earlier collections, I would recommend this as a good representation of his work.
The Man Who Painted the Dragon Griaule - [nominee for Hugo, Nebula, World-Fantasy awards - novelette]
Original appearances from 1984 to 2007 - (6) in Magazine of F&SF, (4) in Asimov's, (2) from In the Field of Fire, and the rest from OMNi, Night Cry, Ripper!, Playboy, SciFiction (online), and Night Visions II.
