Original appearances from 1956 to 1960 - in Magazine of F&SF, Infinity, Fantastic Universe, and (The Original) Science Fiction Stories. This is the first time any of these were collected in a Simak collection, and there is no overlap with other collections. Simak is known best for a somewhat pastoral voice and values, leavened with a quirky sense of humor and a taste for the weird or alien.

This collection first appeared as half of an Ace-Double in 1968, and later by itself in a mid-Seventies reprint.
