A paperback collection by H. G. Wells: The Time Machine and Other Stories (1963.) Most of Wells' stories were collected before 1900, and there are dozens of collections reprinting from the original half-dozen collectons. Which volumes are best for you depends on what you already have or how much you like H. G. Wells' stories. There was an earlier British collection with the same title from Pan in 1953 (the title story plus the last story) - but I consider this a revision or a new collection since the 1963 (and later) Scholastic editions add 2 stories and an introduction.
