"August Angst" and "The Noodge Factor" were original to the 1985 hardcover, "Seasonal Special" came from Amazing in 1984, and the rest appeared in Isaac Asimov's from 1980 to 1983. Janet Asimov has been publishing SF on her own since 1974, with 3 solo SF novels to her credit - mostly as "J. O. Jeppson." This collection was originally titled The Mysterious Cure (1985) and appeared with the byline "J. O. Jeppson."
