Bantam 20th printing 1969? paperback (hardcover was 1950(?), 13th printing was Dec. 1967.) Cover by Dean Ellis, 181 pages. Condition is VG+: tight and square with flat spine; spine shows slight wear to ends and a raised ridge (as printed); age tanning is very mild and uniform; light overall wear - heavier on back cover (see scans.) No stamps, marks or writing. This cover had many printings - I consider it to be the classic look for this well-known book.

About half of these were original to the 1950 edition - including many short bridge-passages or vignettes (marked "{br}".) In THE RAY BRADBURY COMPANION (1975), W. F. Nolan states that the "bridge-passages" have NO relationship to stories of the same title appearing elsewhere. The rest first appeared from 1946 to 1950 - in MacLean's, Arkham Sampler, Thrilling Wonder Stories, Planet Stories, Super-Science, Charm, Colliers. British editions often had slight variations of the contents (1 or 2 stories added/omitted.)
