Edgar Rice Burroughs' The Eternal Savage - formerly titled The Eternal Lover." This has a rather nice cover by Roy G. Krenkel, and this reprint is probably the first full-size paperback printing from Ace (4-1/8" by 7" compared to the first printing size of 4-1/8" by 6-3/8".)

[from the back cover]: An American girl [Victoria Custer] goes to Africa to visit Tarzan in his jungle home, and while there she is thrust into the most astonishing SF adventure on record. Through a flaw in the structure of Time itself, a handsome warrior from the Stone Age appears in modern days… then is drawn back to his own time, bringing the girl with him into a world of cave people, saber-tooth tigers and prehistoric jungle.

A fix-up of 2 serials: Part One was a 2-part serial ("The Eternal Lover") in All Story Weekly beginning in March 7, 1914. Part Two appeared as a 4-part serial ("Sweetheart Primeval") in Argosy-All Story Weekly beginning January 23, 1915. Not only does this tie-in with the "Tarzan" series (Victoria and her brother are visiting Tarzan in Part One) - but her brother Barney Custer is the protagonist of The Mad King.
