|Beyond the last human settlement in the Pleiades, lay the territory of the Moldaug - aliens who were gathering their forces for war. It seemed that the people of the Old Worlds were preparing to sacrifice the colonies of the New Worlds in a cowardly attempt to avert war. But not if frontiersman Cully When had anything to do with it. |
An earlier story featuring Cully When was "Hilifter," from 1963. None But Man is Dickson at his prime.
[If the Jack Gaughan cover seems familiar - it was first used on the 1964 Pyramid edition of Poul Anderson's Three Worlds to Conquer.]
